Avant-propos Le festival des Urbaines offre chaque année gratuitement un instantané de la création artistique contemporaine. Pour sa treizième édition, la manifestation prend de l’ampleur : une cinquantaine de projets, une meilleure accessibilité, des oeuvres dans l’espace public, un pôle arts vivants plus fort avec le mudac, les théâtres Arsenic et Sévelin 36, un développement vers l'ouest à Renens et toujours une haute exigence de qualité, des parcours à travers la ville et une grande convivialité.   Cette année, le festival a intensifié sa réflexion sur l’art dans la ville, lançant tour à tour appel à projet, workshops et conférences. Pendant trois jours, Lausanne se transforme en lieu d’exposition, de performances, de spectacles, de concerts, de projections, mais aussi en plateforme de rencontres, de dialogues entre le public et les artistes, d’échanges de points de vue. Dans ce foisonnement interdisciplinaire et parfois indiscipliné, nous vous invitons à parcourir la ville, d’un lieu souvent inédit à l’autre, à la recherche de projets artistiques intrigants, passionnants.   Pour la première fois, les Urbaines sont ouvertes le dimanche. L’occasion d’y faire un tour plus tranquillement entre amis ou en famille, en munissant vos enfants du journal d’art START édité spécialement pour leur faire découvrir nos artistes. Pour la première fois également, le festival vous propose des mesures de médiation, en collaboration avec le programme TRANS - Enseignement Médiation de la Haute Ecole d’Art et de Design de Genève.   Avec mes salutations les plus urbaines,   Patrick de Rham   Foreword The Urbaines festival offers every year for free a snapshot of contemporary artistic creation. For its thirteenth edition, the event is getting bigger: more than forty five projects, a better accessibility, works of art in public spaces, a greater living arts platform with mudac, Arsenic and Sévelin36, a western development in Renens, and a constant demand for quality, itineraries throughout the city and a great conviviality.   This year, the festival has intensified its reflection on art in the city, calling for projects and putting together workshops and conferences. For three days, Lausanne is turning into a space for exhibitions, performances, concerts, projections, but also a platform for meetings, dialogues between the public and the artists, and exchanges of points of views. In this sometimes undisciplined interdisciplinary abundance, we are inviting you to travel through the city, from one place, often unheard off, to another, looking for intriguing and fascinating artistic projects.   For the first time, the Urbaines will take place on a Sunday. The opportunity to visit the festival at a leisurely pace with friends or family, giving your children the art magazine START created specially to introduce them to our artists.
